Our Team

We hire Veterans and their family members to staff a significant majority of our Company positions. Many of our current teammates are also serving members of the Army Reserve or the Army or Air Guard.

Our Leadership:

Larry R. Ellis, (General, U.S. Army Retired), President and CEO

Passionately committed to Veterans and their families, Larry founded VetConnexx in 2013 as a means of assisting transitioning members of the US Armed Forces into positions within the business community. VetConnexx employs and trains veterans and family members as customer care representatives.
Prior to creating VetConnexx, Larry founded ESSEnterprises and served as Director, President, and CEO of Point Blank Solutions, Inc where he led the company’s turnaround to profitability and sustained revenues exceeding $320 million annually. His corporate leadership experiences extend to his former service on the Governance Committee of SRA International, Inc. Larry’s commitment to community, education, and the Nation continues by serving as a Regent of the University System of Georgia as well as Morgan State University – his alma mater. His National service continues as a Director of the Armed Forces Benefit Association, as a Commissioner of the American Battle Monuments Commission, and Commissioner of the recently completed National Commission on the Future of the Army.
General Ellis retired from the United States Army in 2004 after 35 years. His experiences are broad and deep. Commissioned in the US Infantry he commanded at all levels of the US Army. Most notable were his tenure as the Commanding General of the 1st Armored Division (NATO’s Multi-National Division) that quelled the hostilities in Bosnia, and as the Commanding General of all Regular Army, Reserve, and Federalized National Guard units based in the United States. As the Commanding General of US Army Forces Command he was the leader accountable for establishing and maintaining the combat proficiency of all organizations as they prepared for deployment to the Iraq and Afghan war zones. Ellis’ experiences in support of the Army’s readiness include critical leadership and analytical responsibilities in Human Resources, Operations Research, and Strategic development. His administrative responsibilities culminated as the US Army’s Deputy Chief of Staff for Operations and Plans, during the outbreak of the Global War on Terrorism.
Larry is a graduate of Morgan State University and Indiana University. His honors include an Honorary Doctor of Laws, an Honorary Master’s of Strategic Studies, the Indiana University Distinguished Alumni Service Award, the Morgan State University Distinguished Alumni Award, the Defense Distinguished Service Medal, the Army Distinguished Service Medal, the Bronze Star Medal and the Combat Infantryman Badge.

Sunny K. Park, Co-Founder and Executive Vice President

Sunny created General Building Maintenance (GBM) in 1983 as a means of transitioning Atlanta’s recently arrived Asian immigrants into productive members of the community. Founded in the spirit of Immigrant Exceptionalism GBM has become one of America’s leading, privately held, commercial cleaning services. GBM is the recipient of numerous client and professional awards and has delivered the highest quality of service over the last 31 years.
Park is a private investor in ESSEnterprises, LLC, Global Sun Investments, Inc., and serves as a Director of Brand Banking. Sunny serves our communities and the Nation at every opportunity. His support of education began in 1999 as a Trustee of Berry College and continues with his commitment to the Youth Challenge Academies throughout the United States. He served as the Vice Chairman of The Georgia Port Authority and as a commissioner of The White House Advisory Commission on Asian Americans. He currently serves on the boards of directors for the Carter Center and the Center for Civil and Human Rights and Museum.
Sunny has been recognized as Atlanta’s Business Hall of Fame laureate, the recipient of USO’s Patriot Medal, and named “One of the Most Influential Atlantans” in multiple years. He attended Indiana University Purdue University at Indianapolis, the US Army War College, and the Korea Institute of Information Technology.

John Siemer

is the Chief Operating Officer of VetConnexx, LLC, a veteran-owned business, focused on providing opportunities for disabled and able veterans as well as their family members. The Company provides superior Business Process Outsourcing. As part of the VetConnexx executive team John helped negotiate the purchase of the original company and its transition to a new location and operating platform. Mr. Siemer also continues as the President of Si2, LLC, an innovation company, based in New Jersey, which specializes in the defense industry. Since December 2009 Si 2 has provided consulting services, including domestic and foreign market analyses, product enhancements and investment strategies to both small and large companies. Mr. Siemer has over 30 years of leadership, management, and technical experiences in government, industry, and charitable organizations.
John is the former Chief Operating Officer and Chief of Staff of Point Blank Solutions, Inc. (formerly DHB Industries, Inc.). At the time of his hiring, DHB Industries was a distressed company that had recently changed its Chairman and CEO and had a 13 week cash flow projection with inadequate operating funds to continue day-to-day operations. During his tenure, the company reduced operating expenses and implemented the systems and strategy necessary to create a platform for growth. In concert with the CEO, Mr. Siemer introduced technology and processes to enhance productivity, improve manufacturing and develop fiscal and manufacturing control. As Chief of Staff, he worked with the CEO, CFO and General Counsel to resolve a myriad of legacy issues, to bring the company in compliance with SOX, and to negotiate a $42 million line of credit. With the departure of the General Counsel, he coordinated legal and professional issues with outside counsels and negotiated a joint venture that provided both vertical integration and significant growth potential. In 2007, his last full year with the company, Point Blank had over $320 million in annual revenue as well as its first profit in five years despite high professional fees from legacy issues.
Additionally, Mr. Siemer is a former special assistant and strategic advisor to the Chief of Staff of the Army and has excellent nowledge of the Authorization and Appropriations process as well as the government contracting process. He has written professional papers as well as business plans and has participated in, as well as authored, noteworthy studies and reports. Mr.
Siemer held a number of leadership positions in civic organizations and is the former Board and Finance Committee Chairman of a nonprofit academy with approximately 2000 students. He holds a BS degree in Engineering from the United States Military Academy at West Point and a MS degree in Structural Engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta, Georgia.
